A Testimonial to Jaime

Post created on June 28, 2008 by Reesie under Blogger Posts · No Comments »

A year ago, Jaime and I had a big fight so I deleted all my testimonials in his Friendster. All his pictures, testimonial, etc –I erased them all. As I was browsing my files in my computer I found this: (This is how in love I was back then: I still am..:D )

Jaime is not just my boyfriend, he becomes my bestfriend as well. It’s very unlikely of me to feel cozy to a person instantly but the first conversation with him was very spontaneous and candid. To make the long story short, inevitably, I fall for him

Yes indeed, he’s intelligence is surpassing…his heart is naturally benevolent…his humor is very alluring. I am not surprised that women (and men too..lol) adore him. Who can resist him? He’s really exceptional. His being unselfish is exemplary. His love for his family is praiseworthy. His love for his work is commendable. Afar from these, I love him for the simple- yet- sweet little things that we cherish and share. He is very sweet, loving, and passionate. In spite of his busy schedule, he finds time to see me. He is the first man who ever cooked for me. Likewise, he is the first man who ever touched my heart….and no one else will.

A friend of his (Lawrence) once asked of who, between the two of us, is luckier. I must say it’s not being lucky…it’s more of being blessed. I’m very blessed to have found him. I thought that the best thing ever happened in my life was coming here in the US. It was just a façade…something way better awaited me. Truly, it is him that makes my life tremendously happy here. Mushy huh…but true.

Sweetie, whatever road I may take, surely, it will lead me to you. If we can’t meet half-way along the way, I hope and pray you’re at the end patiently waiting for me. I love you and I always will.

Crested Butte Scouting Trip

My friends, Tim and Joy, invited me to their trip to Crested Butte. They told me it would be a good way for me to get oriented/ to scout on the area for our (Jaime and I) July 4 trip. Yes, I’ll be back in this surreal place in a few days!

The ride was fun. I was in their RV together with Sean (their nephew), Belle and Jesse (their children). Lisa and Matt (Tim’s sister and brother-in-law, respectively) were on another car. The drive to Colorado from New Mexico was pretty–there were a lot of beautiful scenics. One that we didn’t miss was the Great Sand Dunes. It was a small version of Sahara Desert with streams on the area. :D It was amazing!!!

Crested Butte, our final destination, was spectacular!!! We got there at around 5 pm. We went to the hotel to put our things and immediately headed to our scenic drive. The snowcapped-mountain, the lake, the falls and the river, the green pine trees and meadows, the wildflowers, the foxes and the deers were just utterly breathtaking !!! It was like a dreamland! All kinds of words of appreciations were coming out of our mouth. Although, Tim and Joy and kids have been there for couple of times before, they were still awed by Crested Butte’s beauty. They were saying that July 4 would be much more marvelous since the wildflowers will be in full bloom by then.! I can live in this place forever!

In the morning we went hiking ,after we had a nice breakfast courtesy of the hotel, to Judd Falls. The hike was really awesome. I picked 15 different kinds of wildflowers along the way. They were very pretty. Belle and I decided to put them on a notebook to dry once we get home. Then,we had a picnic lunch near a little creek. The sounds of the birds singing, the wind blowing the trees and the rushing of the water from the creek were such a perfect combination to a good appetite! After we ate, Sean, Belle, Jesse and I tried to make a dam out of the creek nearby. The water was still freezing cold but it sure didn’t stop us to get a little wet and have fun!

The ride back was just as nice. We had a nap in the RV and watch Kingkong after a while. We surely had a blast from this trip!

The Desert in the Alpines

I discovered that we will pass the Great Sand Dunes on our way to Crested Butte. Makes our trip more exciting!! Yepey!! WOW..

How did it get there? Wikipedia says: The dunes were formed from sand deposits of the Rio Grande and its tributaries, flowing through the San Luis Valley. Over the ages, westerly winds picked up sand particles from the river flood plain. As the wind lost power before crossing the Sangre de Cristo Range, the sand was deposited on the east edge of the valley. This process continues, and the dunes are slowly growing[citation needed]. The wind changes the shape of the dunes daily.

Hi Reesie:
I was thinking you might wish to come with us on Saturday to Crested
Butte. We will take two cars and you would ride with me and Tim and
Belle. In Crested Butte, we will stay at the Nordic Inn and you would
have a room with your old friend, Belle. We will return on Sunday. We
would love to have you and I could show you the different spots for
Jaime’s visit.
Cheers,
Joy

This just made my day! I got this email this morning. I am excited! I’ll be in Crested Butte twice — this Saturday and July 4 with Jaime. I am such a lucky girl! COOLNESS!!
