Kulangot ka ba? You’re really hard to get

Post created on February 10, 2010 by Reesie under Personal · 11 Comments »

So a friend of mine posted a video on his in facebook. Natawa ako ng bonggang-bongga sa lyrics ng kantang to. I like!

Surprisingly, my friend, the lead vocalitst has a good voice. I didn’t know. At hindi niya din alam na blinog ko tong video niya. Haha!

I don’t know if this song is popular in the  Philippines?

So here’s the cheesy yet funny song:

Bangin ka ba? Ka
si
Nahuhulog na ako sa’yo, naman kasi
Unggoy ka ba? Kasi
Sumasabit ka sa puso ko, naman kasi
Pustiso ka ba? Kasi
You know I can’t smile without you
Pagod na pagod na ako
Maghapon ka na kasing tumatakbo sa isipan ko
Kasi naman kasi

Mahal kita
Bagay tayong dalawa
Papicture nga
Para mapadevelop kita
Hindi tayo tao, hindi rin tayo hayop
Bagay tayo, bagay talaga

Papupulis kita, kasi
Ninakaw mo ang puso ko, naman kasi
Kuto ka ba? Kasi
Palagi ka sa ulo ko
Naman kasi
Apoy ka ba? Kasi
Alab-alab I love you

Magsalbabida ka nga
Kasi baka malunod ka sa pag-ibig ko
Kasi naman kasi

Mahal kita
Bagay tayong dalawa
Papicture nga
Pare mapadevelop kita
Hindi tayo tao, hindi rin tayo hayop
Bagay tayo, bagay talaga

Exam ka ba, kasi
Sasagutin kita agad-agad, naman kasi
Drugs ka ba? Kakaadik ka naman kasi
Kulangot ka ba? You’re really hard to get
Posporo ka ba? E di posporo rin ako
Parang match

Kasi naman kasi
Mahal kita
Bagay tayong dalawa
Papicture nga
Pare madevelop kita

Hindi tayo tao, hindi rin tayo hayop
Bagay tayo, bagay talaga

Pustiso ka nga, kasi
I really really can’t smile without you

Whoever wrote this song, I am sure adik siya sa texting. Haha.

Hapi Balentayms, everyone!

Pre-Christmas in Los Angeles

Holly3The main reason we went to LA was to get our marriage registered renew our Philippine passport in the Consulate there. They don’t accept mail application anymore. You need to be there to get a machine readable passport .Bummer!

I’ve never been to LA so I was excited.

From the airport, we headed straight to the consulate.  It took us more than four hours to get everything done. They were not systematic and everyone was soo slow. Well, what can you expect with Philippine government agencies, ey? Same ol’, same ol’ kahit saan. I was surprise to see ” Lunch Break 12:00 – 1:00 PM” sign. Waa. They even have a lunch break, for petesakes.  No offense ha but you must know, hindi uso ang lunch break dito. Well, we take breaks but we take turns so that the office still accommodate clients during lunchtime.

But anyway, we finished what we came for and have to wait for 6 weeks to get our new passport. We got back to our rental car to find out a ticket in the windshield. A parking ticket for $60!!! Waaa! Apparently, we did not read the bottom part of this sign.

lasign

Darn!!! Sixty bucks!! Oh may gaasss!! It kinda ruined our mood. The good thing was our car didn’t get towed which would be a bigger problem pagnagkataon.

The parking ticket incident didn’t ruin my mood to eat though. Haha. We went to Max’s of Manila , one of Max’s restaurant branches in the US, for lunch. It was packed at 2:00 PM.

We ordered Crispy Pata, Sisig and Nilagang Baboy in big serving. Ubos!  I forgot to take photos for I was starving. FYI, JLC and I are members of CPL  – CLEAN PLATE SOCIETY which explains why we ate everything! Haha.  Wala kayang Pinoy restaurant dito so whenever we go to one in other states, we make sure we DIG IN. Haha. Gluttons!

After the over-indulging of food, we went to the Hollywood Walk of Shame Fame. The only reason I wanted to go there was to see the star of my one and only MATT DAMON… Click Click Click!!! Read more

Fall Season Is Here and Winter Is Just Around The Corner

Post created on October 7, 2009 by Reesie under Personal · 26 Comments »

Lumalamig na naman ang simoy ng hangin. It’s getting colder and colder in this part of the world everyday. Autumn is here. Leaves of trees  are turning into  to yellow, orange or red. It’s a beautiful sight really but it’s coooold.  I am and always will be a tropical girlalush. Hindi ko kaya ang lamig. Winter is around the corner. Haiz.

I remember when I first visited New Mexico more than three years ago during the winter. I went all the way from Florida to New Mexico not just to visit my sister but to see and touch snow. It was a dream.  When I got here it wasn’t snowing. I had my sister  drove all the way to Colorado just for me to see snow. Alas, it was snowing there. But you kno what, after the 5-hour driving, etc…I just went out for one minute to feel the snow. Pumasok agad ako sa loob ng hotel kasi ang lamig. Hahaha.  I hate cold. I don’t mind staying out under the heat of the sun pero pag snow na, ibang usapan na iyan. Bayaran niyo ko kahit magkano  wag niyo lang ako ibabad sa snow. Okay, puede na sa akin ang 50K. Haha.  Tingnan niyo naman how wrapped I was in my first snow experience:

fall9

Hindi naman masyadong halata na masaya ako noh?

One more thing is, I hate driving in the snow. You have to drive reallly really slow or else you could flip your car. I don’t need another treck-driving. I’ve rolled over my car before and that is enough.

I am also not feeling the heavy winter clothes. Ang bigat although they are fashionable.

But I braved the cold this time when we went to Santa Fe National Forest to see the autumn color.

Check out these model-wannabes.

Idaan Mo Na Lang Sa Tawa

I am sure most of you have seen pictures of our kabayayans smiling inspite of the catastrophe brought by Ondoy.  We are indeed the happiest people on Earth in spite of our predicament – being a third world country that is.

I laughed my head off when I watched this video.

Panoorin niyo tong video na to para naman kayo ay ngumiti ng kahit konti:

Another typhoon is approaching. It is not an ordinary typhoon for it will be bringing 200+ kph wind. Pepeng, a super typhoon, is expected to land in Aurora, Isabela this Saturday morning if it won’t change its projected path. Aurora is where my JLC’s family lives. Huhuhu. I panicked when I read the news and immediately call him. I told him to call his family back home. As of this writing, we can’t contact them. :-( We hope and pray that they are safe. After what happen to Manila and surrounding areas, you can’t help but be paranoid – that it there’s a posibility that it will happen to other provinces as well – given the fact that this one is way much stronger than Ondoy. Huhuhu.

I had experienced a category 3 hurricane. It was hurricane Wilma I believe. Or, was it Dennis? I can’t recall. I was also still in Florida when hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana very bad. Category 3 has sustained winds of 111-130 mph (178-209 kph). It waas bad. You really could hear the wind. The good thing about Florida, unlike the Philipines, it is ready for this kind of calamity. It has designated evacuation centers. It has signs all over the state where you could go in case of a hurricane. I could only wish the Philippines would be like Florida but no, we fail in comparison. It is sad.
