Intellectual Elitism eh?

I am a down-to-earth person and everybody who knows me personally can attest to that. Kung ayaw niyo maniwala, bahala kayo! Hahaha.

Farley, a close friend of mine, once told me that I can easily get along with people of all backgrounds and that it is one of my best qualities. I really am. I can blend. I don’t want to sound self-absorbed but it is really true. I don’t want to make other people feel uncomfortable with my presence that is why I would be willing to adjust to their temperament, attitude, etc. If you are chikadora, chikadora din ako. If you are tahimik, chikadora pa rin ako. Hahaha. Actually I used to be described as too timid, I would hardly say a word especially to those people who are intimidating. This is the reason why I try hard not to intimidate people  because I really know the feeling of being left out and inferior. Self pity would succumb you.

I would dress simply if the people I would meet are simple. I would dress elegantly if the people I would share the table with are dressed with sophistication.  In short, I don’t want to be different amongst crowd. I don’t want to stand out. I just want to be ordinary. “I am just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her.” Konek? Ewan ko din. Hahaha.

So where is this post going? Bakit may ganitong drama akech?

Five Random Rants Over the Weekend

I am sorry for not posting anything these past few days. I’ve been preoccupied lately. With what? Read below.

Anyhoot,

1. My Mom is coming this June!!! Yey! I am so excited and I just can’t hide it! I can’t wait to give her a very tight hug. She’ll be here for good unless she opts to go home when she finds out how freakin’ cold it is in here during the winter. My other sister will follow hopefully late this year.

2. Reesie.net is celebrating its third month. I’ve been with Blogger for one boring year so one day isang araw ang lola nyo had decided to get a domain and change to Wordpress. These past three months have been a blast. I’ve met some wonderful people here in the blogosphere na I can really call my friends. I am thanking you all for making my blogging life a wonderful experience. I haven’t learned Reyna’s social climbing skills so back then I wasn’t really promoting my blog. It was made for my own consumption. Now I realised that ang dami palang mga cute and wonderful people (read: my blogroll) in the blogging world. Kaya, social climbing na ako ever ngayon.

3. It is official, I am going to continue my love in photography. My eyes are always on the look-out for possible subjects. Nakaka-adik pala! The new SLR would have to wait though…until I win the lottery August. I am crossing my fingers on this one. I have to get a Nikon this time – thanks for the heads up baby Herbs. And I would like to thank bff Epfi for teaching me a thing or two about photography and for all of you who commented and encouraged me to continue doing this amazing craft. I guess because you guys are my friends, you’re  just being modest to utter those lovely words. Hihihi. Thank y’all.

4. Unlike Jepoy, I am not a Trekie therefore, I can’t hate the new Star Trek movie. In fact, I am loving it soo much I can’t  wait to own a DVD copy of it to watch it over and over again. Sorry Jeps.. Go watch and see it for yourself guys! I know the storyline was no where near the original Star Trek but what the heck , the movie is indeed a masterpiece. This is just from a non-trekie movie goer’s perspective.

5. I am watching Desparate Housewives while doing this entry.
