Wildflowers in Crested Butte

Akala niyo tapos na ako sa litanya ko sa trip ko? Di pa noh! Hahaha.
I was too late to capture the beauty of the wildflowers in Crested Butte. My main goal of the trip was to shoot these beautiful flowers and to show my JLC the beauty of Crested Butte. I should’ve gone last month to see them. Meron pa namang naiwan, pero hindi na siya madami. Hindi daw pareho noong last month na fields of wildflowers ang makikita ko. May nakita naman ako, fields of dead wildflowers nga lang.
Siya nga pala, Butte is pronounced as “Byut” not “butt as in pwet”. May iba kasi diyan na ang dumi ng pag-iisip – crested butt. Haha. Deejay? Ikaw ba yan?
Anyhoot, I was able to take photos of what was left of the wildflowers in Creste Butte. I wasn’t really satifisfied with these photos pero ayaw ko namang umuwi na luhaan. What the heck, share ko nalng sa inyo. Read more
In and Around Crested Butte

It was still raining drizzles when we woke up the first day. We assumed the dirt road is really dirty and muddy. We waited for an hour before we headed off. My JLC’s car is not a four-wheel drive. You gotta have a 4 x 4 car to survive the nasty roads to the mountains. We took risk and used his car, may insurance naman eh. Lolz
The Drive to Crested Butte

I had to work half of the day last Friday before heading to Crested Butte. I was too nice not to take the whole day off which I could’ve if I wanted to. My JLC and I left at around 1 PM. It was raining, we almost backed out but rooms had been booked, plans had been made, food had been purchased. It was too late to retreat.
We were almost at the Colorado/ New Mexico border when the rain finally stoped. Thank goodness.
The drive alone was fun. It was like a tour of a lifetime. We passed by a lot of beautiful sceneries. Good thing I was just a passenger, I was able to enjoy them all. Ninamnam ko talaga.
Mountains, hills, birds, deers, cows, etc.. were a joyful sight. I really love country life. You can feel the simplicity and fulfillment.

Flowers in the Rainy Days

I know it is raining like crazy there in the Philippines and so here in the other side of the world these past few days. If the weather out there is delirious, it is the same here. One moment it’s freaking hot and the next minute, it is raining men, cats, and dogs. I guess Al Gore was right then.
So instead of keeping my self dry………
Tell me I am crazy but I went out and took photos of flowers outside while it was raining. I don’t know what had gotten into me basta feel ko lang.
I am starting to see wildflowers sprouting everywhere that is why I need to capture them before they’re gone. During this time of the year, you can see lovely flowers such as sunflowers, daisies, etc along the streets and people don’t even noticed them. I am not sure, but I guess you are not allowed to pick those wildflowers or perhaps, people are just used to seeing them that they become ordinary to them. Pero ako hindi talaga, I am really amazed of the significant number of beautiful flowers growing all over the place.
I really need to go to Colorado. Colorado is abundant of different kinds of beautiful flowers especially during summer. Crested Butte, Colorado has a Wildflower Festival every July in Crested Butte, Colorado. I am thinking of going again. It is jut a five-hour drive anyway.
Ito ang piyktur ko last year:
Anyhoot…
So here’s the reason of my “sipon”: Read more
